Barcamp Brussels #3 in May
I’ve been getting the question more and more often, that is why I’d like to put people’s minds at ease now:
Yes, there will be a Barcamp Brussels #3 soon!
DATE
The only thing I have somewhat fixed is the date: May 2007. Since we’re in the habit of planning Barcamp on Saturday (so people don’t have to take the day off): this gives us 5, 12, 19 or 26 May. Is anyone aware which of those 4 dates is a go (e.g. other interesting Brussels conference right before it) or no-go (other event on the same day)?
SUGGESTIONS
Apart from that: all your suggestions about where we could hold the conference, how the talks should be structured (15min? 30min?), what kind of side-activities we could do (for education, fun, food or esthetical reasons, whatever) are so very welcome, either as a comment on this post or via email to peter.forret _at_ gmail.com.

For the moment I don’t see any go/no-go in May.
As for talks: please allow enough time. 30 minutes is needed.

There will be the “XTech 2007:The ubiquitous web” conference in Paris from May 15th until 18th as you can see on the following URL (http://xtech.expectnation.com/event/1).
I would prefer a 30min time slot for talks and would like to try a mashup workshop, bring people together that want to develop something interesting together on that day.

I would like to suggest to avoid May 26, as there is a public holiday on Monday May 28.

If in the weekend provide an afternoon block for people that don’t manage to get out of bed and an evening annex for people who don’t like to go to bed yet.

Note that 19/5 and 26/2 are part of a ‘long’ weekend because of public holidays. But that can also be an advantage. It depends on how you look at it. For the rest, no remarks on the dates, they look okay. No other events planned that I know of.

I’ll be in Berlin the 26th of may.
We’re considering to do a presentation on Barcamp ( or a nice talk/workgroup/discussion ) about Adhese for blogs.
But feel free to categorize this as not important

For the moment, I only have something planned for May 12.
FYI: I’ll be presenting a 4 hour movie quiz for the ParentTeacherCommitee of my kids’ school in Gent. It is called ‘KNT - de foute filmkwis’. It’s a movie quiz, but it’s not about movies (that’s why the ‘filmkwis’ is ‘fout’). I show movie fragments, and then ask silly questions about a plethora of topics that are related to what people just saw on the screen.
